Front and center is the orca, an iconic figure here in the Pacific Northwest, and a beloved marine creature the world over. We’ve chosen the orca to anchor this tee because much of our conservation work has been inspired by the Southern Resident Orca population in the Puget Sound and Salish Sea, which faces unprecedented threats to its survival.
 
Unlike the transient orca populations that come and go from our waters, the Southern Residents who live here year-round, and feed primarily on Chinook salmon, whose numbers have been dwindling. Healthy, abundant salmon need clean, cool water, and unobstructed rivers to  ensure that our culturally significant killer whales continue to inspire for generations to come. Everything in life is connected, illustrated by the circles in our design.
